Medical Marijuana: Historic Recovery Cases

    All over the world, debates are held about medical cannabis being efficient in the treatment of serious illnesses that leave no chance for a normal life. Research groups publish experimental results confirming the undoubtedly beneficial effects of cannabinoids on the human body, while in political circles there is a fierce debate over the legal status of marijuana, medical or recreational. The prohibition of the plant can hardly be considered consequential, since there is no legislation prohibiting the purchase of cannabis seeds.

    With all this controversy, we should not forget that the most exciting thing about medical cannabis is that it helps people. This article is a case study of a few people who have first-hand knowledge of the therapeutic benefits of medical marijuana.

    Rick was being treated for prostate cancer, using many heavy chemical drugs. The side effects of chemotherapy for cancer are notorious among patients and their relatives: nausea, fatigue, poor night's sleep, decreased efficiency and physical tone.

    Fortunately, in the past, Rick was able to overcome chronic headaches with the help of medical cannabis – the result of a car accident. With this experience, the man searched for the most effective form of marijuana treatment. And the panacea turned out to be cannabis oil.

    Once cured, the former cancer patient reflected on the suffering of so many people with similar illnesses. Rick described his miraculous recovery in the movie "Run From The Cure" and even appealed to the Canadian government with a proposal to open production of cannabis oil, but the state did not support the dubious initiative and began to harass Rick. Sadly, defeating an incurable disease turned out to be easier than opposing the stupidity of other people’s prejudices.

Charlotte Fiji – a child brought back to life by medical cannabis

    To have gone through an incurable form of epilepsy by the age of 6 – that’s tremendous. Charlotte’s parents had done everything to rid her from this sickness that declared itself when the girl was only 2 years old. Epilepsy had depressed the child's nervous system to such an extent that Charlotte had not communicated with her parents for a long time, being in a catatonic confusion at the time of the decision to try medical cannabis.

    Some of the medications used caused complications, stressing her body even more. Charlotte sometimes had 50 seizures a night (!) when the girl's parents moved to Colorado to get a prescription for medical marijuana. Amazingly, the first serving of CBD-enhanced hemp oil eliminated both the seizures and the confusion. For the first time in a long time, Charlotte spoke to her parents, and soon the girl was leading a full life, hopes for which had long been lost. One of the medical strains of cannabis is named after Charlotte Fiji.

    The decision to try cannabis oil was made by the family without Cheryl's conscious participation; the patient was in a coma. 

    Amazingly, In just a few days, the cannabis oil significantly improved her condition. Cheryl's cancer is now in remission and she can no longer be regarded as a person who needs treatment or can’t enjoy normal life.

A medical cannabis lawyer, Kristen Courtney 

    Kristen suffered from Crohn's disease as a teenager. Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract that keeps people bedridden, as standing or sitting does not allow them to stand or sit (what’s important, horizontal position does not relieve the pain). Crohn's disease is often accompanied by arthritis – and at 16, Kristen Courtney was also diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. For four years, the young girl was immobilized.

    Finally, the decision was made to seek alternative means of treatment, as conventional medicine had nothing to offer Kristen except slow fading and constant heavy painkillers like opium derivatives. 

    Surprisingly, fresh cannabis juice proved to be an effective remedy - after a month the girl's pain stopped.

Currently, Kristen Courtney is a human rights activist involved in the campaign for the legalization and promotion of medical cannabis. Together with Dr William Courtney, she has founded Cannabis International – an organization devoted to researching the medical benefits of cannabis. 

Dennis Hill – cannabis oil kills tumors

    Biochemist Dennis Hill is better informed about the healing powers of cannabis than mere reading scientific papers could allow. Unfortunately, he had a malignant mass in his prostate and, at his advanced age, had little faith in his ability to survive chemotherapy. Nothing seemed to bode well for a happy outcome. However, a friend passed on a rumor to Dennis about a successful cancer treatment with cannabinoids. It was at that time that the positive results of the experimental treatment of inoperable brain cancer with cannabis had been published, so Dennis made up his mind to give cannabis a try.

    At that moment, medical marijuana was not easy to find. Fortunately, the same friend turned out to be quite experienced and prepared a remedy – cannabis oil. Within three months of taking it, the main tumor was gone, and it took three months more to finally remove the metastases.

    Dennis Hill is now a regular user of Rick Simpson's cannabis oil. According to Dennis, a healthy diet, physical activity and hemp oil give him a great feeling of well-being and the confidence that his cancer will never come back.
